I had the mirena coil fitted 18 months ago. Ive had numerous tests in the past but nothing ever suggested that there was any medical cause for my constant bleeding.

I have had my Mirena since Nov. I first contracted an infection for it which was said to be the cause of my continuous bleeding. But since the infection has resolved I still continue to bleed sometimes spotting sometimes heavier period like bleeding in.
If the Mirena is helping control your insomnia then I think you have to weigh up for yourself whether you can live with the spotting or not.
