Hi I am new to this forum I am 36 just had 12 weeks scan and NT as well as blood work combined result come back 1 in 100000 for downs. Has anyone here ever gotten a false negative on the Harmony test. Babys nuchal fold is measuring 75 and after multiple scans MFM can find no other markers or issues.
I asked about repeating the Harmony and the doc said since they got enough fetal dna the result would be the same. 110000 - the lowest result they report. There will almost certainly be someone somewhere who has had that result and gone on to have a baby with Downs because a 1 in 10000 risk is not zeroits 1 in 10000.
Its very very unlikely that your baby has Downs but not impossible. Its also pretty unlikely - but not impossible - that further testing might cause you to miscarry. To be fair very often the test reports a screen negative result with a 1 to 10000 risk of Down syndrome which is to say that the chance that the patient carries a Down syndrome-affected fetus is vanishingly small and I say extremely unlikely and patients are often reassured.
DS1 was 1 in 6600 and this little bab was 1 in 11000. I think it depends on a lot of factors. I was heavier when I was pregnant with DS1 and I think that might have affected the risk.

I got a 143 chance of Downs syndrome but had already had NIPT before I got the dreaded phone call from the hospital. Thankfully that meant I only had to wait 3 days for my results which came back 110000. With your results you have a 993 chance that everything is ok.
However I had the Harmony and got a less than 110000 result NHS result was 1 in 7200 so even with the Harmony there is still a risk that my baby could be that 1 if you see what I mean.
