Weakness surrounding the eye or a pulling sensation around the eyes. Some patients also experience double vision after squint surgery.
For all others though the decision is up to you.
Double vision after squint surgery. Double vision diplopia is common after squint surgery. It is usually quite transient. A small number of older children usually over 10 to 12 years of age will experience more troublesome double vision.
Double vision this usually passes after a week or so but can last longer. Youll be asked to attend visits with an eye specialist after surgery. Contact them the hospital or a GP if you have any severe or lasting side effects from surgery.
Returning to normal activities. After you take the squint surgery it is normal for you to get double vision as the side effect because of the dryness of the eyes. If you treat it well with the good care it will be temporary and be recovered soon.
You need to have the good rest for the eyes. You could use the eye drops to moisture the eyes. In addition you could also use the warm compress to release the symptom.

Even if the surgery manages to correct the eye turn that doesnt mean the patients vision is corrected. Without improved functional vision its possible for the strabismus to return thus the need for repeated surgery. With vision therapy you address the underlying issue.
Improved utilization of vision. Where realignment is more difficult your ophthalmologist may use adjustable sutures to reattach the muscle to the eyeball. These sutures allow the eye to be further aligned several hours after squint eye surgery.
Adjustments are performed while you are awake to improve the cosmetic result and reduce the risk of double vision. A slipped or lost eye muscle muscle scarring or making a hole in the eye with a needle. How soon will I recover.
You should be able to go home after a few hours. Do not swim or lift anything heavy until you have checked with your surgeon. Regular exercise should help you to return to normal activities as soon as possible.
